Over the years I’ve had many a trip that has been sabotaged by challenging weather conditions and as frustrating as it may be, it has taught me to not just look ‘at’ the landscape but look ‘into’ the landscape, taking time to look what’s around my feet or setting myself goals to only shoot within a five metre radius of where I’m standing. There is always a landscape within a landscape and more often than not those small, overlooked areas hold more beauty than the larger presented vista.
