Darren Ciolli-Leach

‘Quiet Images of Quiet Places’

Darren has been taking photographs in various guises since the mid-1980s, cutting his teeth shooting at live punk shows. After losing too many cameras to overzealous stage-divers he took a sabbatical for some time.

Many years later, while browsing in a bookshop, he came across a copy of ‘First Light’ by renowned British Landscape Photographer, Joe Cornish, and a fire was lit. Darren’s love of photography, and a childhood passion for nature and the outdoors could now work in harmony and a new path in life was forged.

This continued drive to be out in the landscape with a camera has taken Darren to many destinations worldwide. However, he still finds most solace exploring local woodlands, and less travelled paths, searching for quiet images of quiet places.

As well as being in his element outdoors, Darren also undertakes various commercial assignments from blue chip companies to small start-up businesses. In addition, Darren offers one-to-one tuition for those wishing to improve their landscape photography.
